An exquisite space in a rustic barn

We opened our newest gallery in 2004 after spending more than a year completely remodeling the inside and outside of an old barn.

The showroom and workshops are located on 30 acres of land, home to potter W.J. Stewart who lived and worked here in the late 1890s.

I used old heart-of-pine siding from a 19-century potter's house on our land to trim the inside.

Lots of wood on the walls and ceiling -- tongue-and-groove pine -- and a stained concrete floor help create a warm atmosphere.
Large windows produce some natural light.
